Where to find low income housing for disabled?

I believe that any of the subsidized senior housing can be applied for by low income disabled folks. in my state, NH, there are a number of these in a variety of locations. (I don't know any with pools) but you will have to be specific about "accessible needs" when looking as we found only a few were truly accessible. My mom was in one for about 10 years. The last 2 years she used a walker and had to go up 4 steps using one railing to get in and out of her apt. There were only 2 Handicapped units (no steps etc.) in the complex of about 50 apts. We eventually moved her out because she needed more than she could get there.

What state are you in? Look for HUD or section 8 . Contact a social worker like here in Wi it is called the Department of Aging to get info .

Go to your state's website and search under Senior/Low Income housing.
