My mother-in-law (88) wears Depends 24/7, resulting in a continuous UTI. Any advice?

Suffers from advanced dementia. Her PCP has treated her for a UTI several times in the last 1+year at my insistence, but now refuses to prescribe any meds to treat the UTI. Is there a natural or homeopathic method I could try to treat the UTI?

Are the Depends being changed immediately when wet? Is she in a care center or at home? Why does the doctor refuse to treat her at this point? Would hospice be appropriate?

You can try cranberry pills. Works for us.

Using Depends should not result in permanent UTI. Is she eligible for Hospice?
