My parents live in FL and I'm in TX. I fear that they soon can't take care of themselves. Where should I start?
Is there an agency that can evaluate their mental and financial situation and can recommend plans of action? I believe Dad and Alzheimers and Mom is overwhelmed.
Have you obtained Power of Attorney? You're going to need that before you can get any outside party to discuss your parents with you. You'll need the basic Power of Attorney and an Advanced Directive which gives you the power to make medical decisions on behalf of your parents if they are unable to do so.
