My Mom has in place a DPOA, Medical POA and Advance Directive. Does my Dad need to get Guardianship over her?

My mom was recently diagnosed with Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances. My dad is named on all the papers listed above. They are placing her in a rehab and said my dad needs to obtain Guardianship papers over her. I thought the DPOA would cover him making all the decisions about her healthcare and financials? I am probably jumping to soon to even ask. Cause they have not moved her yet. I am trying to protect both my parents.

Thank you! Yes, it will be uncontested. My dad is of sound mind to make these decisions for my mom.

Unfortunately he may have to, if she is not cooperating or demanding to leave.
We had to do this with MIL when she insisted she was going to take a cab home. Figure $3K if it is uncontested. From what you say, the court evaluator will most likely agree with and support the petition.
