My SIL is a type 1 diabetic and has never had to eliminate any particular food from her diet. She does, however, have to monitor her blood sugar and adjust her insulin levels accordingly, and be careful to exercise and keep her weight in check. Usually your local diabetes association will be a great resource and can help you connect with a dietitian to come up with a personalised diet plan.

Brinjal is also known as eggplant or aubergine. You should seek the advice of the doctor or ask to be referred to a dietician who can sort out the diet do's and dont's.
