My Dad has limited mobility and lives alone. Where can I get assistance?

My mother just passed. He cannot shovel the snow.

You might want to call your county Council on Aging.... go to the blue bar at the top of this page.... place your Mouse over CAREGIVER SUPPORT... a drop down menu will appear... scroll down and click on "Find Agencies on Aging".... go to your State, and scroll down to your county.

This is new to me. I'm not sure I'm phrasing the question correctly. My mother just passed and they lived together in their home independently prior to her passing. She was the one who was the caretaker. She did everything. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, He had 2 strokes and 2 heart attacks. He has no idea what to do. I'm wondering if there is assistance the city can provide. Thank you.

November17, do you mean your Dad lives independently in his own home? If yes, I assume your Dad has someone who mows the lawn.... usually in winter those who do lawn care will also plow. Call that person... if the lawn person doesn't do that type of work, maybe he will know someone who does.

Your profile says he's in independent living. Why does he have to shovel snow? Is he living at home?
