What is the medical and drug coverage for my Dad (79) who is diabetic and income is $1300?

My father currently has medicare and a supplemental insurance. His Social Security check is 1300.00 monthly. Starting in September he goes into a DONUT with his prescriptions and has to pay out of pocket. We need better coverage, is there anything out there that can cover medical and prescription?
