Some friends have an Alzheimer's/caregiver situation and are hesitant to initiate contact. Does anyone make a contact to acquaint them?

with the services available. She is afraid he will get upset and be suspicious if she initiates contact.

I too, am confused by the question. Have you found a caregiver and not sure how to get the caregiver in the home?

Could you explain a little more what you mean, Joyce? Who should be contacted, in your view? Do you think your friends might be eligible and in need for some services but they don't know/are afraid to contact appropriate agencies?

I'm just guessing. Help us understand.

Offer him cookies and a reheatable dinner. Watch over but do not interfere. Alert the county social services if he is in imminent danger.
During a bad winter storm, call him and make sure he is OK.

I can't tell what you mean by your question. You are caring for a friend. Is the friend going to be upset?
