As a family caregiver I hear about some benefits (funds) that I can apply for is there any truth to this?

Not sure if any of your parents are veterans but the VA has Aid & Attendance program that pays caregivers. We receive the Aid from VA every month which really helps with bills & housing & etc. Hope this helps.

Medicaid in some states will pay family caregiver a minimal amount. There is also Aid and Attendance if you are helping a veteran. But the care needs to be medically necessary as documented by the person's doctor.

Call your local Area Agency on Aging, many times in with Council of Governments. They are a wonderful resource.
