As my brother's death due to cancer becomes eminent will he be eligible to go to hospice in a hospital?
My brother is under the Medicaid program. He is in a nursing home with a roommate under Medicaid. I wondered if Medicare/Medicaid allowed that he pass in a quiet, clean, peaceful environment.
Once Hospice is in the picture, the patient is usually moved to a private room in the Hospice wing. Hospice facilities are a separate entity from hospitals. Hospice is ordered by his MD, so give him a call.
