Does anyone have United Healthcare and AARP Supplemental Insurance?

Mom has both United Healthcare insurance as well as an AARP RX card. She has a Medicare Part D card, too.
I know that her Medicare Part D covers part of her drugs/prescriptions, but as her needs will become greater with age, I was wondering if anyone already had United Healthcare or AARP Rx Supplemental, and if so, do you know offhand what they cover? We live in FL.
I tried to google it but my head was spinning at the different links. I am just looking for a bottom line rundown of what is covered without reading all the fine print if anyone knows.

Mom HAD it, when I first moved here. When she presented the card to one of her Doctors, she was told it was worthless to her. I not only cancelled it ($300 a month) but got a reimbursement for the $1200 she had already paid them. Someone at AARP got an earful from me about the difference between taking care of the elderly as apposed to taking ADVANTAGE of the elderly!

Every Rx should be covered. Some Rx's if brand name are expensive they will need to be approved by UHC.. If she is currently taking something they will approve it..

I called AARP and gave representative the list of my Mom's meds to see what the coverage would be..

No, she's not low income. She is in this middle space because her stocks and SS pay her about $22K a year and she has a paid home... Just wondered what would be picked up regarding the insurance she carries.... what is covered..

If she is low income she can apply for extra help thru social security. They will pay her AARP Rx plan and offer low Rx co-payments...

That's the same plan my Mom has and SS pays the monthly fee. Her co payments for Rx's are around $2.20 for generics and up to $7 for brand name..
