Is there a primary caregiver benefit available if I'm living with and taking care of my Dad in his home?
He has heart problems and can barely make a meal for himself. His meals, taking medication and wound care all have to be handled. Me coming home at night and making the evening meal isn't enough.
If he needs more care, his doctor can order a visiting nurse. If he is a war veteran, contact the VA for help. Talk to his MD about when it is time for a nursing home or hospice.
