Diagnosed with Temporal Arteritis. I'm scared. What to do?

I have been diagnosed with temporal arteritis recently. I have my appointment with the doctor at Killeen Vision Source in 2 days. I'm really very scared, can't figure out, how to handle this situation?

Thanks for showing concern Emio!
When I went for the appointment at Killeen Vision Source, the doctor performed a physical exam and asked me to get the blood test. He has prescribed medicines for the cure and told me that the treatment will last for one or two years. So, I'm following his advice and keeping my fingers crossed to get well soon.

Sorry you have this. I understand you being scared. (((((((hugs)))))))

What treatment did the doctor who did the diagnosis give you? I would think you would best handle it by following doctors orders, so to speak.

If you have a lot of fear, maybe counselling would help to keep the stress down, which can only help. Do any other family members have it? Again, I am so sorry, You have my prayers for recovery.
