Does the state of NH have a program that may compensate me for lost wages since I cannot leave my parent home alone all day?

Last year I had to leave my job because my father had a stroke and needed full time care. My Mom came with him and we realized that her memory was not good. She cannot be left alone now that Dad is gone for more than an hour. I try not lo leave her alone at all but it is difficult at times. I can no longer hold a job and care for her. Is there any program that compensates elder care givers instead of institutionalizing them?
