I think that a lot of the modern electric blankets have automatic shut offs...like they stay on for say, two hours, and shut themselves off. Make sure that it is that type, and if so, i wouldn't worry.
If it is one that just stays on until you shut it off, I would remove it from her bed, that could be a fire hazard.
