Our sister stole every thing from our vulnerable Mother and our Brother with huntingtons disease.Can we stop her POA?

our sister got poa of our mother who has dementia and our brother who has huntingtons disease. She put there house in her name and there are county medical..We have never seen her poa..what can we do?

In my state APS is required by law within 72 hours for what they consider non-emergencies. Emergency would be thing like physical abuse, no food, etc which would be same day response.

Gosh are you sure she even has POA? so sorry for you just cant imagine how upset you must be. My family are selfish they dont help out BUT never would any of them steal from mum thankgod! I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around!!

My thoughts exactly. A POA is named to act as an agent to the person. Resources are to be used for the person and not for the POA. If the POA used money or property for herself, it is financial abuse and is illegal. Gladimhere and Countrymouse are right -- call APS if you think there is abuse. I hope they will investigate quickly

Call Adult Protective Services in your area. They will perform an investigation. What documentation do you have that mom is incompetent?
