My dad is 88 and caregiver to my step mom who has Alzheimer's. He needs help, what services are available to him?

I would like to have someone come to the house to help Beverly bathe and to help as a companion. Bev is 88, my step mom and has been going to alzheimers clinic in albany, ny for about three years and now has no short term memoryl My dad has been reluctant to get help for her but I fear my dad is having a nervous breakdown. My dad is also 88.

I would go with an Elder care agency. The one here I interviewed met with me in their home. I explained what we were looking for and they interviewed my in-laws. They were also very good dealing with resistance from the in-laws. Sometimes with doctor orders you can get insurance to pay for certain in-home help. I did some research online and discussed it with their doctor. Money is normally the biggest issue and why I involved the doctor.
