Does anyone have any experience with bath lifts?

I haven't been able to see one except on the internet and I haven't found any reviews that compare one brand to another. So I am looking for any information that will help me make a decision

After I asked my question, I realized I know had key information, which is that I now know that I'm looking for a bath chair lift. I didn't know that, before. So, while it's not a review or really more than just the beginning information for the person that asked the original question and myself, there is a brand I just found called Invacare and it's just over $500 (but I want to see if MediCare or supplemental insurance will defray the cost):

Online look-up the Rio Bath Lift by Invacare you will see several sites that offer the product.

Once, again, this is not an endorsement, I know nothing about this. I'm sure there are other brands. And, by the way, if you go to your local medical supply store for something like this, might find more options and help. I do plan to do that, but just wanted to get an idea what these look like.

What was the price in pounds/euros, approximately? I'm interested in getting one for my mother and I could find a conversion table. Although, the prices of things do wildly vary from country-to-country, but I figure your price will possibly give me an idea of the order of magnitude to the price.

my mom uses one, she lives in scotland, its also the stena model. it works fantastically and she now feels secure when bathing. she's not too stable on her feet so a showrr was always stressful but she couldn't put weight on her legs enough to step into the bath.

the bath lift gave her control back.

I live in the UK, so I don't know what companies you have in the States - but, if you have them, I strongly recommend "Stena". My sister had one installed by them and it was an absolute god-send to her. It lifted and lowered her in and out of the bath, and the chair swiveled to make it really easy for her. They also fitted a stair lift and a shower seat. All were easy to use. Good luck
