My grandmother requirers 24 hr. care and does not qualify for assistance and does not have enough income.

My only choice is to quit my job but, then I would have no income. What do i do?

Good question. It depends on how open your relatives are. I would write them and tell them your situation and ask if they can help. You might tell them how much you need so that they can let you know how much they can contribute. It is very difficult because you probably feel that you are in a bad position. You have no choice and yet they do. They can say no, but it is worth asking. Good luck.

How do I approach out of state family members to consider helping financially. I do not work to be my grandmother's caregiver. I have let my own health go because I have zero money. How do I bring it up that others contribute cash at least since they cannot help physically?

Don't quite your job! Then you'd be in the spot she's in, and long before you reach her age.

Where have you tried looking for financial assistance for Grandmother? Does she have too many assets or too much income for Medicaid, or both? Who told you this?
