What is a good night time sleep aid - either natural or prescription?

My mom goes to sleep well around 7 pm but wakes up at 2 a.m. for a couple of hours. She is currently on Ambien. Any recommendations?

Could she stay up later and sleep later?

bendryl can be helpful but is NOT to be taken by anyone who has Lewy Body Dementia (or, I would assume, Parkinson's). It would be good to ask her doctor before trying otc sleep meds.

You might try doxepin or trazadone. They are prescriptions from the doc. Holy Basil is good for sleep as well, from the health food store.

Recently, my mom (age 73) also sleeps 7pm and woke up at 2am. She is taking Clonazepam 1mg for her insomnia for a few months now; for her mood disorder she's taking olanzapine 5mg (olanzapro) daily before bedtime. She is obliged to have a follow-up check-up for with her psychiatrist for dosage or medicine change.

I use bendryl at night and it seems to work very well. Okay, I don't use the brand name, I use Walmart's generic that costs something like $4.00 for 50 of them. Hope this helped.
