Have you tried a home health agency? They also have adult day care that keeps seniors engaged during the day which could help if your working or just need some time for a break. Some nursing homes are starting a new trend which they call "culture change" where they make it a more home like setting for seniors. They can have meals on their own schedules, get up at the time they choose, etc. That could be an option if your not comfortable with the hospital like feel of some nursing homes.
