My mother with dementia is asking for the wrong sons. Should I be concerned?

Mom is 93 with mid level dementia - she is constantly asking for her sons. She is not asking for her grown up sons - who see her frequently

This is perfectly normal in the dementia process. As mentioned, she has likely regressed to an earlier age when the kids were little. She may soon think one of her sons is her husband, especially if that son now resembles her husband when her husband was young. And yes, she may even make a pass at him. It's sad, but it's part of the process for many. Hang in and check back for support. You'll find you aren't alone.

I would tell her they are at work and will be coming to visit soon. my Alz support group once told me "The Customer is Always Right" no matter what and thats how I treat my Mom, yes yes yes, she is right and yes they are coming home, theraputic fibs. haha good luck, you've only just begun.

Sounds like she has regressed to an earlier point in her life when he sons were children.
