My mother gets medicaid how hard is it to go about looking at AL facilites for her? I am her sole caregiver and work FT

ALFs are different from Nursing Homes. Medicaid will pay for an NH if your Mom qualifies. Most ALFs do not accept Medicare or Medicaid....it is mostly out of pocket.
If your Mom is a veteran or a spouse of one, she could qualify for veteran's benefits for an ALF.
Other than that, you may have some state or local programs. You can start with your office on aging (although, I haven't had much luck with ours....they just give you a lot of telephone numbers.) Also, the social worker at your hospital may have some advice for you.
