My boyfriend's mom & dad have dementia.. has anyone ever heard of monetary assistance with quitting your job to take care of parents?

I have quit my job as well to care for my elderly parents. I've called many agencies, but they are not very helpful. The only advice I have been given thus far is to apply for food stamps at my local family and children services. But, I have not given up. I'm still investigating this and hope someone will have a solid answer. Good Luck to you and your boyfriend. Let's keep each other posted on what we learn. :)
