My 78-year-old mother always complains of some one scaring her when she is alone in the bedroom. What should I do to make her feel ok?

I remember being scared at night when I was a kid, don't you?
What would you have wanted? Your parent to come in the room, reassure you, leave a nightlight on, say they would check on you again, tell you that you're safe, etc. Right?
How about a nice hug? We give a lot of them here! HUGS:)

My dad is the same way he has been diagnosed with vascular dementia also with paranoia. I try to get him very relaxed and comfortable. Is she taking any meds for anxiety or panic? I feel your pain and my prayers are with you. God bless.
