What are suggested hours for in-home care?

LME Dec 2010
My relative has someone for two hours in the morning, to get her breakfast, bathed, washed, dressed, do dishes and light housekeeping, and someone at night to get her undressed, do dishes, and picking up. If the person has mobile meals delivered for lunch, and there is food in the freezer that can be microwaved, no need for meal help. If the person is afraid to use the microwave, someone will be needed for supper to put food in the microwave. If the person is content with having a sandwich for supper, it can be left in the refrigerator. Some people require caregivers to get them out of bed or put them in bed. That is additional time. Some require someone during the night only, or all day long while the person is awake. Some require 24/7 care. It just depends.
