My neighbor claims to have Alzheimer's after being caught on video vandalizing our fence. What are our rights to protect us?

This case is currently at the District Attorneys affice and has been classified as a class B but is awaiting prosecution. She has harrased us for years and we finally could not handle anymore and installed video cameras. How can she commit crimes against us and not be held accountable just by claims of alzheimers?

No, Mental problems are the safest to use. Why? Can not be proven as easily. Dogs are a different story. Dogs or any animal is known to help ppl who has any illness to live longer. So I can not use dogs. We have them to keep my mom in the house. One will track her if she gets out of the house? He can track her. So I can not say about animals. If animals distroyed it? That is a horse of a different color...But if a person did it? They are held accountable for their actions. Like it or not when we get to adult age, actting it or not, We are held accountable for it.
My mom stuffed my comode full of socks. Don't ask why. I have no clue. But I had to pay to have a plumber come out and unclog it. My landlord told me real quickly, Sharon? What she did is not my problem. This one you own. So that is why I say, Someone has to be held accountable.
Good luck. As I know this is not an easy thing to do. But like it or not, as I have said, Someone is accountable for their actions if they are not.
Hugs to all involved. Cc...aka Sharon

The above was good advice an elder lawyer should be able to make quick work of this we had problems with a neighbor for years with her dogs and finally had to hire a lawyer and he got a different judge appointed to the case and it was settled real fast-good luck-the video camra was a great idea, Good luck -let us know how it turns out we can all learn from each other I am sure most of us have problems with neighbors but saying you have mental problems is a new one.

Hello, I am sharon, My advise is to tell them you are getting an atty. and the atty can get the records to prove if they have it or not. If they have not been dx with it? They are held accountable for it. That is not your problem. But I have a feeling? Once you say, Okay, I will get "My" atty to dig into this. Tho there is hepa laws, ocea laws, there is no law that says you have no rights. Your rights began on your property...Where is their family? Do they have power of atty? If not, Why not? Who is caring for the person. They can not live alone. So these are some things you should consider in my opinion. I will take care of anything my mom may distroy because I do have power of atty. I am resposable...Just like if it was their child. They are resposible..Or check with the magistrate.....Hope this helpped....Hugs to you in this......Cc...Aka Sharon
