I receive SSI and my mom wants to pay me for her care with her pension, will this be counted as income by SSI?

I need to know if my SSI checks will be reduced when I receive monthly money for my mom's care?

JOY:

Here in NYC, you can earn about $12K and still collect SSI; but the income limits vary from state to state.

As long as your mom's contributions don't exceed that limit there's nothing to worry about.

You know what? She can always give you cash. ... It works every time.
