A few of the recent threads reminded me of something I stumbled upon a couple of weeks ago . A man had written in to a very well known advice columnist saying he was thinking of divorcing his wife because she wants them both to move to assisted living . He said he’s in good health and not ready for AL . He said they live in a condo and he did admit that she has multiple health issues and is moving much slower with her walker. He complained that she would not do her PT exercises and that she no longer wants to cook and that he’s wasting time and money picking up take out food. The columnist suggested his wife go to assisted living without him , and he could visit her . She also suggested he could possibly move to an apartment .
My thought was , he still won’t have a cook at home !!! 🙄🙄
