How can I find a residence that starts as senior living, but steps down to assisted living?

My daughter wants us to find our own senior living, but does not want us to have to move twice. I don't know what to look for.

They are called different things:
- Continuum of Care Communities (also called CCRCs – Continuing Care Retirement Communities)

or

Life Plan Communities

or

Retirement Villages

You can created browser search parameters using your zip code, so something like this:

"Continuing Care Retirement Communities"+(your zip code)

or

"Continuing Care Retirement Communities"+near me

Have daughter assist you in the research. It sounds as though she is familiar with some places that offer IL and progressing. Otherwise, this might be a good time to call such help in such as businesses that offer you choices in aging care placement. A Place for Mom (which sponsors and owns this site, by the way) is such a business. They will visit you, take note of your assets, and recommend the places suited for you.

A.I. and internet research is great and now with A.I you can ask what the cost is for accommodations and levels of care at facilities. You can also ask "What senior facilities in my area offer progression in aging accommodations".

You can also look up facilities and call and ASK.
So there are tons of ways to get this information. It's a matter of time and how much of your time you wish to spend on this.
