No question, just venting.

I haven’t been a care giver for months but last night something happened and I need to put it somewhere. My ex had talked someone into putting two dead bolts on the inside of his bedroom door but couldn’t remember how to open them- this lead to dehydration, weakness and incontinence. A neighbor broke in and he was life flighted out. He had gotten rid of his homecare due to paranoia. Maybe APS will listen now and he won’t be discharged back home alone. He refuses POA and all such things. The neighbor talked with him this morning and couldn’t understand his speech. I hope this time something happens so he gets care. He hasn’t been safe to live alone for quite awhile. Maybe this time something will change. I still care a great deal but I can’t do anything except let things take their course. So that’s what I’m doing. It’s painful,

It must be incredibly hard for you to see this happening to him. I also hope APS will understand more clearly now his needs. 🫂🫂.

How terrifying for him! It’s amazing that people so often follow the directions of those whose decisions have sadly become unrealistic and not in their best interests at all. Hopefully he will now receive appropriate care

It’s really terrible all around. I will join you in praying something different happens this time.
