Article a friend sent me. On overwhelming days, I read it several times. It's kept me from "putting my head in the oven." Just sharing!

LIVING WITH DEMENTIA

2. Divert, never reason.
3. Distract, never shame.
4. Reassure, never lecture.
5. Reminisce, never say "remember."
6. Repeat, never say "I told you."
7. Let them do what they can do, never say "you can't."

I'm going to print this and read it many times daily. Thank You!! Also once a Physical Therapist told me that when my mother gets real bad just to tell myself
"this is not my mother/father, but I will care for them until she/he gets back".
