Mother (69) refuses medical treatment.

My mother was diagnosed over 10 years ago with liver disease. She is suppose to a take liver medicine daily. I found out she has been off her medicine and hoarding it for months. She has terrible anxiety, doesn't speak in complete sentences. It exhaust people to be around her. I tried to take her to the dr and she refuses. I even called an ambulance and they agree that she needs medical attention but she passed the mental evaluation so if they took her to the hospital it would be kidnapping. They made her promise to go to the dr but she didn't.

You call Adult Protective Services in her area and report her as a vulnerable adult. You send a certified letter to the doctor who is prescribing the meds, insicating that she is non compliant and that she is no longer able to care for hersel. And has become a danger to herself.
