My husband wants me to have the POA but is afraid of his children (who currently have POA). I would appreciate some stories about how bad it can be with them in charge and I have no say.

I am a s/mom to cruel adult s/children.  Two of the daughters have not spoken to us for 4 years. My husband is afraid of his oldest daughter.  I just found a durable POA in our safe drawn up yrs ago with two mean children designated.  I know that he wants me to have the POA but is afraid of his children.  I would appreciate some stories about how bad it can be with them in charge and I have no say.
