Was anyone aware of this bill: H.R. 2560 [111th]: Independence at Home Act of 2009
It is a proposed change in Medicare that will allow for in-home physician care for those who are housebound. The idea is that allowng people to "age in place" actually reduces the cost to Medicare. Doctors who visit elderly patients in their homes find illnesses early, before there is a need for hospitalizationor NH care. There is a pilot program. I am still trying to find more info about qualifying....anyone have information about it?
