Do I need to provide a 1099 form to a home health care company who is an LLC?

Hi all,

My elderly Mom with dementia has 24/7 care from an LLC company who has provided management of different caregivers this year. Do we need to provide a 1099 to the agency? Any useful information that clarifies this?

Thank you!

You are paying agency to provide you with aides. The agency hires the aides so the agency provides them with a W2 form because as a business they have to deduct payroll taxes.

No. That's one of the benefits of hiring through an agency. You don't have to provide them with anything.

An LLC is a business. They are responsible for their own tax reporting.
