My-husband-is-93-and-has-moderate-dementia-Is-it-a-symptom-when-he-sees-faces-in-every-picture-of-tr

]He sees faces in pictures of trees, flowers and mountains. The dirt has faces. There are faces hidden in fields of flowers. I see nothing.

Yes. It is a symptom; probably he is having some visual hallucinations. You should discuss this with his doctor who can help to answer questions for you.

Well, yeah, it has to be a symptom of something. You and I both know that those faces aren’t really there. Don’t argue or correct him. Go along with what he is thinking.

My mom saw animals. One was in a plant in her room. We removed the plant, and she was much relieved that the animal was gone and not running around the house.

This should be a discussion with his doctor. Can you get him in for an exam?

Perhaps he has Lewy Body Dementia as visual hallucinations are common with (LBD). They can be very detailed and realistic. Sometimes they comfort the person, sometimes they are stressful. Be sure to discuss with his doctor.
