Can anyone recommend a very lightweight, soft and absorbent bath towel for the elderly to use? Bonus for a brand or style referral.

My mother's in her 90's and can still shower on her own; however, she can no longer manage a regular bath towel. With deterioration in her shoulders most towels are way too heavy and difficult for her to manage. She is pretty picky about absorbency and softness. Thank you!

The one thing about towels is to make them soft people use fabric softener. Fabric softeners keeps towels from being absorbant. I do not use them. I dry my towels on low, hi tends to make them stiff. I was using those plastic dryer balls when drying them but just switched over to wool balls.

Sandcloud is very good. I first saw them as more towels, but we’ve them as regular bath towels. Very soft, very absorbent. A little pricey but they’ve held up quite well. And they’ve recently come out with a whole regular bath towel set.

I like the Turkish Towel Company Artisan Peshtemal Towel Sets from Costco.com

They are quite light and absorb well, but she may perceive them as being too thin, like a dish towel, but softer.
