Where do I ring for non-medical help, i.e. cleaning, driving, errands?

85 years old, female in Baltimore, Maryland.I take care of my own hygiene and medications, food prep and laundry.First, I need help decluttering.Once clutter is gone,, I need regular weekly help cleaning.I would like someone to drive me to medical appointments and for haircuts.I have an insured vehicle, but no longer drive (glaucoma, stiff neck, slow reactions).I want someone who is vetted and I do not want to be the one to deal with payroll taxes, etc.

This is not an employment site. Just people who are caring for someone and sharing our experiences.

I would first call your Office of Aging to find out what resources are available to you. They should have a Senior bus u can use for appts, errands and shopping. You can hire any cleaning service to help you unclutter and then clean weekly. You will need to work thru an agency to get a vetted Homecare aide that you also aren't responsible for payroll.

A person working for you should never drive your car. As suggested, I would get rid of it.

Sell your car and use Uber. The money you save not paying for gas, insurance and maintenance will cover Ubers for quite awhile. Hire a cleaning service.

You are over thinking this. You don't really need the hassle and expense of personal home care, there are cleaning services that also specialize in clutter and hiring a taxi/uber is available almost everywhere.
