I posted on NextDoor about my parents' stairlift that I was giving away but it needed to be removed. Two really nice brothers responded and they removed the chair and rails. I didn't realize it was as big job as it was but they got it out. It turned out it was going to help a police officer who was shot in the line of duty and suffered a stroke. I felt good knowing it would help someone else. I sure hope it will be only temporarily used by the new owner.
Contact your local Senior Center and ask if they have anyone that they know of that could benefit from the Stair Lift. You could also post on FB. Most communities have a "Buy Nothing...." with the name of the community. And people will see it there. Please be careful and make sure there is someone at home with you if you do find someone that will take it
