How to get Depends delivered to home paid by Medicare?

peace416 Apr 2023
Medicaid pays for incontinence products, not Medicare.

Yes, medicare does not pay for depends unless on hospice. If your LO is on Hospice its up to the Nurse to place orders and deal with Medicare.

And even if your loved one is under hospice care they seldom if ever will order actual Depends. I know when my husband went under hospice care and he had up to that point been wearing Depends, I was told by the hospice nurse that yes they would cover his incontinence products but they would have to be the tab type and not the pull-up kind.

If a person covered by Medicare is under hospice care, I believe incontinence supplies are covered. If the person you are inquiring about is on hospice, check with the hospice organization about how to get supplies. Regular Mediare coverage doesn't include incontinence products.
