Wipes in teeny wrapped packages. Huh?

I'm supposed to clean a whole bowel bottom, dementia hands/fingers & a toilet seat with teeny little wrapped KFC wipes? And they are the size of condoms - gross! What is this?

Yes, I am to clean the client either with wipes or soap and water. When I posted the question, I didn't realize soap and water with a rinse and dry was alright. But I checked state law and actually it is the preferred method. I did not see any wash cloths and even if I did I wouldn't necessarily know which roommate they belonged to. However, we have access to clean cloths & I'll start carrying one.

My mom's nursing home used washcloths, they had green ones for cleaning up incontinence and white for everything else.

After writing this, I found out:  State law says I can use a wash cloth, soapy water, rinse and dry. Boss says that's what to do... it just takes so long and we have so many customers!

Next they’ll supply the KFC bucket to match.

That there is the new commode folks. Have dinner, use the toilet and clean up with one supplier. Efficiency!

This sounds reportable.

If your employer is giving you actual KFC wipes they are not appropriate for cleaning after toileting.
They contain citric acid, ascorbic acid as well as alcohol just to list a few ingredients. These can be irritating to sensitive areas not to mention that the wipe is not soft.
And a quick google search states that these wipes should NOT be used on the "peri" area as it can cause irritation.

They are for greasy fingers.

I expect a bright spark sitting in an office somewhere had a bee in his bonnet about cross contamination. Simple! he thought. Let's have individually wrapped single-use wipes.

Makes you want to grasp them firmly by the ear and lead them to the resident's bathroom to try out their own brilliant solutions for themselves.

Who expects you to do this, the understaffed place you work for?
