Mammajae Asked July 2022

Should I let my mother-in-law shave her face?

She is 82 with Parkinson's and dementia. She and her older sister shave their faces due to hormones. Should I let her shave?

What could possibly go wrong with an 82 y/o with PD & dementia shaving her face with a razor? :(

No. Shave her yourself with an electric razor.

I shaved my mom every week, I'm sure she wouldn't have wanted to look like a yeti.

LOL, I was wondering how not shaving would make your mom look like a cooler.

I had to look it up.

Electric razor would be fine, not a regular razor.
There is a brand I think it is Gillette that makes a razor that has been designed for caregivers to use on someone.

not with a razor…. There are battery operated devices etc..
and I would offer to do it for her..
