What are appropriate and thoughtful gifts for convalescent home workers who have exceeded expectations?

I would ask the person who is in charge. I feel when someone does a good job over and above, showing appreciation is always nice. Its a good feeling when ur appreciated. We had a client that had special cookies sent to us. I made a big platter of cookies at Christmas for the aides at Moms AL. At the NH, dropped off banana bread. You can have trays of sandwiches delivered for each shift.

I'm not sure other than a very heartfelt thanks and a letter to their superiors. At my mom's assisted living facility, no gifts were allowed, including small tokens of appreciation. At the hospital where I worked, individual workers were not allowed to receive anything from a patient greater than $15.00 in value. You can understand the reasoning for this, right? After my husband's ICU stay, we gifted the whole unit with sweet treats, which were appreciated. Check out your facility's policy on this.
