Joaniesueblue - I read in your profile that you recently had a surgery and now in a cast and wheelchair, and there's another surgery later on to help you walk.
Not knowing the rules in your state, RI, so I did a little search online. Looks like RI has a program called LTSS (Long Term Services and Supports) which covers home help. You will need to meet the income requirements to qualify for the program. I recommend you give them a call. Here's the link to their website.
