My elderly mom with dementia doesn’t want to get up all day. She refuses to go to the bathroom. At night she gets up numerous times. Advice?

She doesn’t sleep. She takes Trazadone 100 mg. In addition she takes Melatonin 5 mg. She still doesn’t sleep much. Once in a while she sleeps more. If I give her more melatonin, she sleeps in the early morning hours and wakes up at 12-1 o'clock in the afternoon. Instead of sleeping at night, she sleeps all morning which is the wrong time. The Trazadone is given at 5.00 p.m. The melatonin at 8.30. Any advice to make help my mom sleep during the night?

zeenna2002, check with your Mom's doctor to see what can be done. Maybe a change in time when she takes her meds.
