Looking for wearable (watch) to monitor and alert me to abnormal or lost pulse.

Hi all. I am looking for a wearable, most preferably a watch that will monitor my father's pulse and automatically alert me if there is an issue. I don't need any other functionality. The only capability it would need is WiFi support to send me alerts (to a smartphone app hopefully). I've looked around and found many products that do way more than I need, and none that send alerts automatically without the wearer's intervention. Has anyone heard of a device like this?
