What is the qualifications for someone on Social Security to receive Medicaid?

JoAnn29 May 2020
There are all forms of Medicaid and each one has its own criteria. Its also an individual thing. The best you can do is call your local Office usually associated with Social Services.

There's Medicaid for nursing home care, health insurance, and different types of in home care. Each having their own criteria that has to be met.

Medicaid is offered as community (help while living at personal residence) Medicaid and as Facility Medicaid. It’s a federal program administered by each state with similar but different requirements as dictated by the state the insured lives in. There are medical and financial thresholds that have to be properly documented before approval.
If you or your loved one are having sleep issues, that can possibly be addressed outside of Medicaid.
As you can see you are getting very broad answers. Be more specific on what the problem is and you may get a more helpful answer.
You can google by putting in your state name and medicaid. Choose one of the .gov sites and do a bit of reading. This site has many posts on medicaid as well.
Hope that helps.
Example for search
Ohio medicaid, Texas Medicaid etc.
