A long term care facility let go of my mom 2 day's ago. The facilities doctor placed a catheter for fluid retention 6 months ago. Help.

She hasn't seen a urologist and I don't know how to dress a catheter. HELP

We need more details. Review her DC ppwk again to see if any guidance is provided for what to do.
If your mother has a suprapubic tube in her urinary bladder to drain urine the catheter should be changed monthly usually at a urologist’s office. It’s not as simple as changing a Foley catheter.
When I was a HC nurse we weren’t allowed to change that sort of catheter; the law could be different in other states.
If this is the case call a urologist and have them see her as you need to establish a relationship with a urologist because of her SP tube.
Still need more info...

Your mother should have VNA services in place before you took her home. Need more information please.
