I'm not sure why you would want to share the POA when your mother lives with you, is it a just in case kind of thing? Most bills can be set up as auto pay or paid through online banking, all you need there is the password. Purchases using debit/credit cards don't require a signature any more all you need is the PIN, and the monthly statements can be a good record of $$ coming in and going out.
You don’t even need a pin to use a debit card, at least not in the US. (The exception being at an ATM machine). If there is a visa or MC logo, you can swipe it and it’s processed just like a credit card. Some point of sale systems will ask if you want to run it as debit or credit after you swipe, and some will not. For those that don’t, if you hit the enter button, it bypasses the need to enter the pin.
WorriedinCali is correct. Why do you want a family member added? Do you want to resign as PoA? You can do this but then someone would need to become her guardian to legally take care of her needs.
